Studio policies
To ensure a smooth, productive, and joyful learning experience for everyone, we've established clear policies regarding lessons, payments, and communication. Understanding these guidelines helps us maintain a consistent and encouraging environment where every student can thrive.
Important studio guidelines
Our policies are designed to create a respectful, consistent, and encouraging environment where every student can thrive. Clear expectations around scheduling, communication, and studio etiquette help lessons run smoothly and allow me to give each student my full attention. By setting these guidelines, we create a safe, supportive space that values commitment, kindness, and growth—so students can focus on learning, building confidence, and making music together.
What materials should students bring to lessons?
Students are expected to bring their lesson book(s), assignment notebook, and any assigned materials to each lesson. Consistent preparation helps ensure productive lessons.
What are the payment policies?
Tuition is $20 per 30-minute lesson. Lessons are paid on a weekly basis, and payment reserves the time slot of the lesson. Payment is expected at or before the start of each lesson, unless otherwise arranged. Available payment options include: Cash, card, Venmo, Cash App, and Facebook Pay.
What is the policy for cancellations and no-shows?
No-call/No-show lessons are not refundable and must be paid by the next scheduled lesson. Cancellations that occur less than 24 hours in advance are to still be paid.
Does Joyful Noise Music Studio provide transportation?
Joyful Noise Music Studio does NOT provide transportation for students. This policy reflects an important professional and personal boundary.
What is expected of students regarding practice and engagement?
Weekly lessons alone do not ensure progress. Students are encouraged to practice regularly at home. Begin with 15-20 minutes per day, increasing gradually to 30 minutes per day for best results. Students are also encouraged to bring curiosity, effort, and a positive attitude to each lesson. Creativity and questions are encouraged, and music should always be enjoyable.
How should I get in touch with the studio?
The best way to get in touch with me is by calling my cell phone at 740-688-3082. In the case of a younger student (younger than 18), their parents should reach out to me directly, and we will discuss issues and handle problems with clear communication.

Our studio policies are here to ensure a harmonious and effective learning experience for everyone at Joyful Noise Music Studio. We believe that clear guidelines, combined with our faith-centered and encouraging environment, empower students to achieve their musical goals with confidence and joy.
